The Street Animal Project of Nagua was born out of Jody Garland’s desire to effect change in the city of Nagua. As a veterinary nurse, Jody felt powerless seeing all the animals in the street when visiting Nagua for the first time and she decided to use her skills to help the community through sterilization, vaccination, education and low cost veterinary care.
